My Screen Spotlights

The Wiri Project: a documentary for Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington

Editor, co-videographer

The Wiri project developed advanced machine-learning models of human, embodied emotion by capturing a vast spectrum of human emotional interactions.

Their modelling will encompass Māori cultural background and directly address Vision Mātauranga by collaboratively developing distinctive knowledge at the interface between indigenous knowledge, research science and technology.

My role on set was to capture footage and interviews with my team, as well as edit it all into a short documentary.

Silver Noodle Soup 3 young disability arts filmmakers from Wellington Aotearoa New Zealand making movies.

Editor, co-director

Silver Noodle Soup (SNS) is a Wellington based disability-led and focussed performance company.

Our films and theatre shows are a celebration of disability pride through sharing the ways, works and talents of performing artists and filmmakers.

The material and scenes for our latest film were created by students past and present of Onslow College during SNS Performance and Film Making Workshops in 2019 to 2022, and the students of Te Whare Ako at Mana college.

We work as a group of theatre practitioners and filmmakers to help students devise a film based on their impulses and ideas for skits and scenes they’d like to develop. We help them to explore the craft of creating a film.

SNS 3 and Silver Noodle Soup: Mana college was edited and produced by filmmaker Michelle Cameron and directed by Silver Noodle Soup artistic team Madeline McNamara and Sabrina Martin.
